Hamketab in your city

Hamketab is designed to grow from city to city. If you would like to launch Hamketab where you live, you do not need to build everything from the beginning; the central team and the local team take this path together.

What does a new city need?

More than anything, launching in a new city needs a committed local team, a suitable location, and books.

Local team

One or more people who can make time to coordinate the work and communicate with members and bookstores.

Host bookstore

At least one bookstore that can store the books and serve as their pickup and return location.

Initial collection

A starting collection of physical Persian-language books, gathered through donations or books already available.

How does the launch work?

Every city is different, but the general path looks like this:

  1. 1

    Initial conversation

We discuss the city, the local team, possible bookstores, and the conditions needed to begin.

  2. 2

    Prepare the team and location

The local team takes shape and one or more host bookstores are selected to store and hand over the books.

  3. 3

Set up the city in the platform

The city, its bookstores, and the team’s required access are prepared in the Hamketab platform.

  4. 4

    Begin operating

Once the books and processes are ready, members can begin borrowing and donating books.

How does the central team help?

  • The website and panels needed to manage books, loans, returns, and donations
  • Setting up the city, bookstores, and team access in the platform
  • Shared operating guides and processes
  • Support and coordination from initial planning through launch

Who can get started?

You do not need technical knowledge or previous experience. If you care about books and reading and can make time to coordinate local work, you can help start Hamketab in your city.
